Our Commitment to Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Opposition to Discrimination
Equity is the intentional inclusion of everyone in society. Equity is achieved when systemic, institutional, and historical barriers based on race, gender, sexual orientation, and other identities are dismantled and no longer predict socioeconomic, education, and health outcomes.
In order to achieve equity, United Way of South Central Indiana strives to be a model of diversity and inclusion, with our Board of Directors, staff, and volunteers reflecting the many faces, cultures, and walks of life that make up the communities we serve.
