Help Stamp Out Hunger on May 14

Locally, 1 in 5 children are at risk of going hungry. Our community’s food pantries are here to help, but they often have trouble providing sufficient food in the summer when supplies are low and kids do not have access to school meals. However, by joining together as a community, we can ensure that those who are hungry receive assistance.

MoCOAD Helps with Recent Flood Recovery Efforts

Four days before Christmas, several Monroe County homes were flooded by a combination of snow melt and heavy rains that left behind destruction and mud. Since that event, those affected by rising waters have been flooded with support from friends, neighbors and recovery teams.

Ready to assist in the aftermath of local catastrophes, the Monroe County Community Organizations Active in Disaster (MoCOAD) has been reaching out and connecting people in need to disaster recovery services.
