Increasing Access to Care

With communities throughout our area feeling the effects of the opioid epidemic, resources are strapped and it can be difficult to find available care for those seeking treatment. Many treatment facilities are at capacity and many individuals may lose hope after being turned down for treatment due to lack of space. 2-1-1 and OpenBeds have partnered to help address this.

2-1-1 and OpenBeds both help users access important information about resources in real time. OpenBeds is a software platform that allows treatment facilities to list their vacancies so healthcare providers can direct individuals seeking treatment to a facility with an opening. With this partnership, an individual seeking treatment would only need to call 2-1-1 to find a location to get the care they need to get sober.

This is just one more effort in Indiana’s fight to end opioid abuse. This partnership seeks to make it easier to find treatment, allowing individuals to take important first steps in recovery. Learn more about how this partnership is strengthening our community here.
