Vectren hosts United Way at Kick-Off

As Vectren employees kicked off their annual giving campaign, June Taylor, the Volunteer Coordinator from member agency Community Kitchen and Efrat Feferman, United Way Executive Director, spoke to the group about how United Way of Monroe County takes care of our community. They explained how, just like Vectren attends to the critical infrastructure that keeps our community members safe and healthy, United Way does the same with our social infrastructure!

“As you well know, it takes a level of investment to maintain a healthy and safe community,” explained Feferman. Taylor then spoke to how Community Kitchen relies on other United Way agencies and supports other United Way agencies, demonstrating the power of a strong and efficient network.

Vectren and United Way will also soon partner on a Day of Caring, where dedicated Vectren employees will lend their unique skills and specialized equipment to attend to some much needed projects at several member agency locations. United Way of Monroe County extends its thanks to Vectren employees for giving and volunteering to make a big impact in our community!
