Meet Isabel Santner, 2018-2019 Campaign Chair

Sept 2018 - “There’s no other way for a person to give a dollar to an organization and have it impact 25 different agencies. This is the one way a dollar will stretch itself the furthest within the community as a whole.”

Isabel Santner, Partner at BKD and United Way of Monroe County Campaign Cabinet Chair began her involvement with United Way 19 years ago. During her first job out of college, Santner shared, “There was a presentation given at my workplace by one of the member agencies of United Way and I remember hearing the story of that member agency and how they appreciated being a part of United Way and what that meant to them. I started donating a dollar for every pay stub and have been a United Way supporter ever since.”

United Way’s annual campaign receives a huge boost of volunteer energy from the Campaign Chair and Cabinet. Santner is excited about the momentum being created, “I am looking forward to bringing many people the opportunity to be part of the United Way family and giving them the chance to support the agencies and programs of United Way.”

Santner will lead fellow Campaign Cabinet members in raising funds and deepening connections to further the impact of United Way of Monroe County and their 25 member agencies throughout the 2018-2019 campaign.

Her passion for helping the community through United Way is evident. “The campaign gives the chance for our community to further thrive with the array of member agencies that we have and really fill the gaps and needs that community members have at different times,” she says.

Santner advised, “Whether you’re giving a dollar or ten thousand dollars, you have value to United Way and what we’re working toward. This is the type of campaign that invites everyone to the fold and gives everyone the chance to have an impact. United Way really brings people together from all different backgrounds and that’s something that I find exciting.”
