Thank a Tax Hero: Don Baxter and Team

"I think we all share a desire to help others."

We connected with Don Baxter, a Free Community Tax Service Site Coordinator. Don has been working at the Ellettsville Library site for three tax seasons, but he has over a decade of experience working and volunteering as a tax preparer.

"I have a strong group and we are very focused on the client's needs and making sure that they are satisfied with the work we do for them," said Don of the volunteers working with him in Ellettsville. Don noted that while his volunteers were from all walks of life, from a retired lawyer to an accounting student, they are all committed to providing the best service possible to clients.

As a Site Coordinator, Don provides assistance and support to the four volunteer tax preparers working at his site.

A big thank you to Don Baxter, the hardworking volunteers at the Ellettsville site, and all the Tax Heroes fighting to help our community learn more, earn more, and lead a healthier life!

All tax volunteers are re-certified each year, so clients can be sure they are getting the best information when it comes to filing. The Free Community Tax Service has ten locations across Monroe and Owen counties throughout tax seasons.
