2015 Fall Money Smart Week

Friday, October 16th - Thursday, October 22, 2015

A week filled with free events to build the financial smarts of Monroe and Owen County community members is just around the corner. Money Smart Week is sponsored by the Financial Stability Alliance for South Central Indiana, in partnership with United Way of Monroe County and the Monroe County Public Library.

Money Smart Week takes place each spring and fall in south central Indiana to raise awareness of local financial stability resources and improve financial literacy. Community members will have the opportunity to learn affordable recipes, how to winterize their home, and important information about planning for the end of life. Highlights include a kick-off event at Food Truck Friday where community members can learn more about their financial personality and take photos in the character cutouts of a spender and a saver. The local Money Smart Week activities are part of a nationwide campaign to help consumers improve their personal finances.
