Thanks to our Leadership Donors

Earlier this spring, more than 65 supporters joined us for the annual Vanguard Leadership Reception at the historic Wells House on the IU campus. This event recognizes Leadership donors for the important role they play in the United Way Campaign and our community.

The reception was graciously hosted by Indiana University President Michael McRobbie and Indiana University Provost Lauren Robel. The President and Provost thanked both Vanguard and Young Leaders Society donors for their dedication to United Way. Vanguard Chair Jim Grandorf, United Way Board President Heidi Schulz, and United Way Executive Director Barry Lessow joined in thanking Leadership donors and highlighting the impact of United Way and our member agencies and initiatives. The Vanguard Leadership Giving Program recognizes individuals or couples who contribute $1,000 or more annually. The Young Leaders Society recognizes those under the age of 40 who make a combined annual gift of at least $500. Both Vanguard and Young Leaders show a commitment to creating sustained improvements in the lives of fellow community members.

In his address, President McRobbie announced that the IU Bloomington campus campaign raised $817,000 dollars, and commended the dedication and generosity of IU donors. Funds raised in the campaign support many local programs and help build a better tomorrow for everyone in our community.
