Trent Deckard joins United Way team

United Way of Monroe County welcomes Trent Deckard as Resource Development Director. Deckard will lead donor relations and fundraising to support United Way’s focus of helping people learn more, earn more, and lead safer and healthier lives.

He brings over 10 years of experience in public service, fundraising, higher education, communications, volunteer management, executive leadership, and community outreach.

A Monroe County native, Trent attended Ball State for his Bachelors degree and Indiana University for a Masters in Applied Communications.He received the Bloomington Chamber of Commerce "10 Under 40" Award in 2017 and also has recently received numerous public speaking and communications recognitions.

Trent enjoys spending time with his daughters, wife Kyla Cox Deckard, and a comic collection he’s been gathering since childhood. He commented, “Joining the staff of United Way of Monroe County is a tremendous opportunity to make a difference. I’m absolutely thrilled to assist our dynamic staff and member agencies at making a real impact in the area.”
