2010-2011 Campaign Highlights
 
Thanks to these workplaces for helping us improve people's lives.  This funding helps our community ensure that everyone has the building blocks for opportunity: Education, Earnings, and Essentials.  We are grateful that you Live United!   
* Indiana University Health Bloomington staff continued their tradition as community and campaign pillars, contributing over $50,000 in support of improving people's lives. 

* Baxter employees infused over $5,000 into the campaign and helped us qualify for matching funds.

* Employees at Kroger kept the campaign fresh with over $6,500 in pledges for our community.

* Printpack employees continued packaging good ideas, including almost $4,000 for the campaign.

* Along with a generous corporate gift, employees at Duke Energy juiced up the campaign by increasing their giving to more than $5,000. 

* Monroe Bank, a division of Old National Bank, and its employees deposited over $13,000, continuing its tradition of support for our community. 

* Employees at Wal-Mart, along with a corporate gift, helped us all live better by contributing $2,000 for the community.

* Along with a generous corporate gift, AT&T employees dialed up giving 6%, contributing over $7,000 in support of our community. 

* Fifth Third Bank employees, with a corporate contribution, invested over $6,000 in this year's campaign.
         
* Abilities Unlimited, a United Way partner agency, provided even more support through its own campaign.   

* Along with generous corporate gifts, employees at Best Buy ran a high definition campaign, increasing giving and contributed over $5,000. 

* Phi Delta Kappa staff made the grade, and contributed over $1,000 in support of our community. 

* Employees at the American Red Cross, a United Way partner agency, were prepared for the campaign and increased contributions 15%.

* Along with a generous corporate gift, employees at The Herald-Times took their campaign in stride, increasing giving and contributing over $14,000 in support of our community. 

* MCCSC employees added over $5,000 to the campaign in support of our community. 

* Employees at Mother Hubbard's Cupboard, a United Way partner agency, filled the shelves with contributions and helped our community qualify for matching funds.

* Along with a generous corporate gift, employees at United Commerce Bank increased giving the way we like it and contributed over $15,500 in support of our community. 

* BKD employees continued to show their pride in the community, contributing over $2,300 to the campaign. 

* Boys & Girls Clubs of Bloomington, a United Way partner agency, was a positive place for the campaign, with employees increasing their donations and helping us qualify for matching funds.

* Monroe County Government
employees recorded almost $6,000 in contributions, exceeding last year and adding $1,000 to our matching grant assessment.

* Along with a corporate gift, employees at Great West Casualty Company ensured a better community with $4,500 in contributions. 

*Employees at Indiana Legal Services, a United Way partner agency, increased participation, contributing over $3,000 and motioning for an increase in matching funds.

* Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce employees built a stronger community by contributing $2,500, exceeding last year and ensuring over $500 in additional matching grant funds.

* Teachers and administrators at Richland-Bean Blossom Community School Corporation edged their giving to almost $2,000. 

* Staff at Community Kitchen, a United Way partner agency, increased participation and contributed over $2,500 to the campaign.

* Regions Bank and its employees focused on the common good and nearly doubled their total giving from last year, helping our community qualify for $2,000 in matching grant funds

* Target employees hit the bull's-eye, increasing their giving from last year and raising almost $4,500 for the community.

* Employees at Monroe County United Ministries, a United Way partner agency, helped a lot of families by increasing their campaign participation and contributing over $3,500 to the campaign.

* German American Bank and its employees increased their interest in the campaign, expanded results by 15%, and helped our community qualify for almost $3,000 in matching grant funds.

* Otis and its employees geared up, pulled together, and boosted the campaign by almost $30,000.

* Employees at Stone Belt Arc, a partner agency, empowered the campaign by contributing over $5,000.

* Old National Bank and its employees exceeded expectations, increasing their giving by 10% and helping our community qualify for over $1,000 in matching grant funds.

* Employees at Hoosier Hills Food Bank, a partner agency, helped take some hunger out of the community by growing their contributions to the campaign.

* IU Credit Union employees lent additional support to the community by boosting giving 20%. Along with a generous corporate gift, IUCU raised $40,000, exceeding last year and qualifying United Way for over $3,000 in matching grant funds.  

* Residents and employees of Meadowood increased their average contribution, and invigorated the campaign with over $16,000.  

* Employees from Girls Inc., a partner agency, were strong, smart, and bold in their giving, raising 14% more for the community


2009-2010 Campaign Highlights

The 2009-2010 United Way campaign raised $1,419,321 to improve people's lives.  This funding helps our community ensure that everyone has the building blocks for opportunity. Thanks to you, we beat our goal. We are grateful that you Live United!   

Indiana University-Bloomington faculty, staff, students, retirees, and IU Foundation employees achieved a new degree of generosity, exceeding their goal and contributing over $750,000 to the United Way Campaign.

Attorneys at Mallor Clendening Grodner & Bohrer LLP partnered to increase giving, and filed almost $9,000 in donations.

Duke Energy and its employees lit up the campaign by increasing contributions to almost $5,000 and powered our community toward $1,000 in matching grant funds.

Ivy Tech Community College-Bloomington employees showed their civic engagement by
contributing over $5,000 to the United Way Campaign.

Bloomington Hospital employees advanced a healthy $45,000 to the United Way
Campaign.

Fifth Third Bank and its employees answered some dreams by donating $8,000,
exceeding last year and qualifying for over $1,000 in matching grant funds.

Old National Bank and its employees celebrated their 175th anniversary by
posting over $10,000 to the United Way Campaign.

Bloomington Iron and Metal reinforced the campaign by contributing $5,000.

The
Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce  helped build a better community
by doubling participation and increasing contributions to the campaign by
77%.

Kroger plus its employees increased contributions this year, pledging over $7,000 to the United Way Campaign.

Over 65% of Macy's employees added some magic to campaign by donating over $7,000.

Monroe County Community School Corporation staff smartly raised almost $8,500 for the campaign.

Target employees hit the bullseye with a 25% increase in giving, qualifying UW for almost $1,000 in matching grant funds.

Along with a corporate donation, almost 60% of Monroe Bank employees contributed over $25,000 to the campaign.

Employees at People and Animal Learning Services saddled up and increased donations 33%.

Otis Elevator/United Technologies and its employees gave a lift to the community by elevating their giving and contributing over $30,000 to the United Way Campaign.

Andrews, Harrell, Mann, Carmin, and Parker showed its community commitment by increasing partner, employee, and firm giving and helping us qualify for Lilly matching funds.

Employees of Volunteers in Medicine, a partner agency, boosted contributions a healthy 150%.

Residents and employees of Meadowood Retirement Community ran a five-star campaign, increasing donations by 15% to over $16,000 and qualifying for matching grant funds.

Marsh employees kept their ideas fresh and contributed almost $1,500 to the campaign.

Employees from Girls Incorporated, a partner agency, were strong, smart and bold enough to double their contributions to the United Way Campaign.

Employees at the Herald-Times reported that they circulated the hat, and delivered over $8,000 along with a corporate gift of $5,500 to the United Way Campaign.

Vectren employees powered the campaign by doubling their participation and quadrupling donations to over $3,000.

Employees from Indiana Legal Services, a partner agency, contributed over $2,500 to the United Way Campaign.

Employees at the City of Bloomington lent a sustaining hand by doubling participation, increasing giving to over $12,000, and qualifying for Lilly Endowment matching grant funds!

The community experienced BKD generosity, with over $4,000 accounted for and 29% of donors giving for the first time. 

Employees of Community Kitchen, a partner agency, served up increased donations, and expressed almost $3,000 into the United Way Campaign.

Printpack and its employees neatly packaged their campaign, doubling contributions to more than $6,000 and helping us qualify for an additional $3,000 in matching grant funds.

Monroe County Government employees served the community in new ways by increasing participation 20% and doubling their donations to $5,000.

Employees of Shalom Community Center, a partner agency, contributed nearly $1,000 to the United Way Campaign.

United Commerce Bank gave the way we want it, surpassing last year’s donation by raising nearly $15,000 with a $3,000 corporate check. 

We thank Phi Delta Kappa for starting a new United Way Workplace Campaign, raising over $1,500. As a new workplace, the educators at Phi Delta Kappa helped us earn Lilly Endowment matching funds.

Employees at the American Red Cross, a partner agency, responded quickly to the need and increased donations by almost 20%, qualifying for matching grant dollars.

Williams Jewelry continued being a gem by contributing nearly $1,000 to the campaign.

Indiana University Credit Union helped create a community with employee donations of $16,310 plus an additional $20,000 corporate gift.

The employees at Hoosier Hills Food Bank, a United Way partner agency, fed the campaign with more than $2,000, which also earned Lilly Endowment matching funds.

German American Bancorp increased participation, raised almost $4,000, and qualified for over $1,000 in matching grant money.

This year, Hilliard Lyons doubled their participation and giving, accruing $2,500 for the United Way campaign

Staff of Area 10 Agency on Aging, a United Way partner agency, contributed over $1,000.

Over 50% of Great West Casualty Company employees contributed to United Way, and with a generous company gift, raised $6,822, exceeding last year and ensuring over $1,500 in additional matching grant funds.

Wal-Mart employees doubled their giving from last year and lived better by contributing over $2,000.  

A United Way partner agency, Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard staff, interns, and board fed the campaign by tripling their participation.

 

2008-2009 Campaign Highlights

The 2008-2009 United Way campaign raised $1,355,106 to improve people's lives.  This funding helps our community ensure that everyone has the building blocks for opportunity: Education, Earnings, and Essentials. Thanks to you, we reached over 96.7% of our goal. We are grateful that you Live United!   

• Indiana University-Bloomington faculty, staff, students, retirees, and Foundation employees added some cream and crimson spirit to the campaign, increasing their giving by over 6% and pledging almost $700,000 to the campaign.

• Bloomington Hospital employees added a strong dose of energy to their campaign and exceeded their goal, earning their third consecutive UW Pillar Award.

• Employees at Best Buy rewarded the community by boosting giving 4%, contributing almost $3,000 to the campaign.

• Indiana Legal Services, a United Way partner agency, judged the need this year and increased staff giving, adding over $2,700 to the campaign.

• BioConvergence employees discovered new strategies, developed increased participation and delivered a 100 percent increase in contributions.

• Employees at Ivy Tech Community College-Bloomington engaged their civic spirit, contributing more than $3,500.

• Shalom Community Center, a United Way partner agency, had a 175 percent rise in employee giving.

• Printpack employees packaged contributions of $1,300 along with a new corporate gift of $650.

• Employees at Vectren kept the campaign fueled by contributing over $3,000 to the community.

• United Way employees chose to Live United with 100% campaign participation and a 94% increase in giving to over $3,400.

• Regions Bank employees provided a higher return by contributing more than $4,000 to the campaign.

• Kroger employees bagged the community’s gratitude by contributing more than $6,200, a 17 percent increase, while their customers joined in by donating nearly $600 to the campaign.

• In addition to distributing more food than ever, employees at Hoosier Hills Food Bank, a United Way partner agency, raised a record $2,200 for the campaign.

• Partners at
Mallor, Clendening, Grodner, and Bohrer helped people develop a lifetime of solutions by committing $7,700 to the campaign.

• AAA Hoosier Motor Club employees set a strong pace in their support of the United Way campaign.

• Employees at People and Animal Learning Services (PALS), a United Way partner agency, took the reins and doubled their contributions.

• AIT employees added luster to their Emmy by increasing participation to almost 50%, raising over $1,000 for the community.

• Employees at Monroe Bank capitalized on their excitement by boosting campaign participation and contributing almost $27,000, along with a corporate gift of $8,000.

• Full-time staff at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bloomington, a United Way partner agency, made Bloomington a more positive place for kids with 100% campaign participation.

• Employees of German American Bancorp strengthened ties with the community by donating nearly $2,000, with an increased corporate gift of $1,000.

• Macy's employees demonstrated their star quality by increasing their giving 18%, and the company created more magic with an additional $1,500.

• Employees of Middle Way House, a United Way partner agency, made an award-winning effort and winged their way to a 27% increase in giving, contributing over $3,000 to the campaign.

• City of Bloomington employees added more character to our community, increasing participation by 27%, and their giving by 13% to over $10,500.

• Otis Elevator/United Technologies employees helped the campaign by elevating their giving 5%, donating over $25,000 which was boosted by a $5,000 corporate gift.

Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce employees promoted their community by contributing $1,000 to the campaign.

• Employees at Old National Bank made a difference by increasing their giving 44% to over $7,500, which was matched with a corporate gift of $4,000.

• Employees at Stone Belt Arc, a United Way partner agency, set a milestone by raising over $8,000 for the campaign.

• Employees at the Herald-Times made their own headline by increasing giving almost 10% to over $9,900, which was supplemented by an increased corporate gift of $5,500.

• Rogers Group aggregated over $3,400 in employee giving with an additional $2,500 corporate gift.

• Monroe County Community School Corporation employees multiplied their energies to add more than $8,500 to the campaign.

• Indiana University Credit Union employees and board deposited $20,030 into the campaign with an additional matching corporate contribution.

• Area 10 Agency on Aging, a United Way partner agency, took the A Train with an increase of over 100% in its employee campaign.

• Great West Casualty Company ensured future services with employee donations over $4,000 and a $1,000 corporate gift.

• Fifth Third Bank employees invested over $5,000 with a corporate gift of $1,500.

• Staff at Monroe County United Ministries, a United Way partner agency, fed the campaign by increasing their giving 4% to over $5,000.

• Marsh employees bagged an increase in their giving of 8% over last year, contributing almost $2,500 to the campaign.

• United Commerce Bank invested over $14,000 in its community, including a $2,500 corporate gift and over $11,500 from bank employees.

• Staff at Community Kitchen, a United Way partner agency, combined ingredients to raise $2,810, a 12% increase from last year.

• BKD employees accounted for $5,768 of the campaign, increasing their contributions by over 200%.

 2007-2008 Campaign Highlights:

• Golden Hands Construction sketched a solid plan and built a 67% increase in its campaign.

• FedEx employees packaged over $2,000 in pledges, delivering a new level of support

• IU Annuitants pledged over $91,000 to the campaign this year, retiring all their previous records.

• German American Bancorp recently came to Bloomington and already raised $2,300 for the United Way campaign.

• Employees of Crane NSWC, Hoosier National Forest, the Social Security Administration, and the Post Offices contributed more than $18,700 to United Way and its partner agencies. Post Office employees delivered a 55% increase in pledges.

• Kroger employees bagged several new pledges this year and contributed over $6200 to the campaign.

• Enterprise Rent-A-Car drove their way to a 40% increase in donations.

• Pinnacle School staff added over $1000 to this year’s campaign.

• General Electric employees contributed a cool $54,000 with an additional $21,500 gift from the GE Fund.  GE is a 2007 Pillar Award winner.

• Andrews, Harrell, Mann, Carmin, and Parker defended the community by pledging over $2,300.

• Staff at Hoosier Hills Food Bank, a United Way member agency, fed the campaign total with over $2,000 in pledges.

• Vectren employees lit up their campaign this year by more than doubling their pledges from last year with a total of nearly $4,000.

• Mallor, Clendening, Grodner, and Bohrer employees joined forces and pledged $7,700 to this year's campaign.

• Weddle Brothers Construction announced a corporate pledge of $7,000 as they build momentum with an employee pledge drive that started this week.

• Monroe Bank employees invested over $30,000 in the community, increasing their pledges by 23% this year, to which the bank added a $10,000 corporate gift.

• Printpack sealed a 9% increase in its campaign through a combination of a corporate gift and generous employee pledging.

• Herald-Times employees displayed their community spirit with newsworthy pledges of $9,103, which were supplemented by a $5,450 corporate gift.

• Otis Elevator/United Technologies lifted the campaign with an increase in employee pledges, which were further heightened by a $5,000 corporate contribution.

• The Fifth Third Foundation made a $2,500 contribution in addition to the successful Fifth Third Bank employee campaign.

• Great West Casualty Company continues its longtime support with an increase in pledges this year.

• Meadowood Retirement Community residents have pledged over $20,000 to help our community.

• Staff members at Girls Incorporated, a United Way member agency, have all contributed to the campaign.

• The Indiana University Credit Union -- workplace of Campaign Co-Chair Kevin Osborne -- contributed over $34,000 this year, an increase of 25% from last year, through employee pledging and a corporate dollar-for-dollar match,

• AIT employees increased their pledges from last year.

• The Boys and Girls Club, a United Way member agency, had 100% participation as well as an increase in pledges.

• United Commerce Bank campaign raised almost $15,000, including a $2,500 corporate gift.

• Rogers Group employees contributed over $3,500 this year, and the company complemented that with a $2,500 corporate gift.

• Middle Way House, a United Way member agency, had 100% staff participation with an increase in pledges.

• Bloomington Hospital, a Pillar Award winner, once again exceeded its goal, raising more than $55,000 through employee pledging and a variety of fundraising events within the hospital.

• Regions Bank reinvigorated its campaign, and employee generosity to the community doubled this year.

• Shalom Community Center, a United Way member agency, had 100% staff participation.

• MCCSC added 44 donors, and increased total giving by almost $3500.

• Monroe County United Ministries, a United Way member agency, reported a 13% pledge increase in employee pledges.

• Strategic Development Group staff members set a new record in their giving.

• Monroe County Public Library staff expressed their generosity by pledging $2,000 more than last year.

• The staff at Stone Belt Arc, a United Way member agency, increased their giving 35% this year, and participated in a drawing for gifts donated by members of the leadership team.

• AAA Hoosier Motor Club raised its corporate pledge by 50%.

• Fifth Third Bank employees had 100 percent participation and contributed 35 percent more than last year.

•
Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce staff members increased their contributions 54 percent, setting a new record.

• Otis Elevator/United Technologies made a corporate gift of $5,000; the employee campaign wraps up today.

• Monroe Bank increased its corporate gift 11% this year to $10,000.

• Macy's employees raised over $7,000, and reached 140% of the store goal.

• Community Kitchen, a United Way member agency, had its largest pledge ever with 100% employee participation.
