Thanks for making 2009 Day of Action a success!

On April 8th, 2009, over 130 Day of Action volunteers made our community a better place to live by helping 15 nonprofit agencies. Their efforts were highlighted in these two great articles from the Herald-Times and the Indiana Daily Student

You can even see them at work in Dann Denny's short video for Herald Times Online.  Thanks to the H-T for their supportive editorial.  And be sure to take a peak at the photos below...

For the 14th time, Day of Action participants volunteered for a wide variety of projects, including planting gardens, fixing trails, painting, doing yard work, and cleaning trash and graffiti. They also read to young children at two nonprofit agencies as part of United Way's Born Learning early childhood initiative. The projects made a positive impact on the community. Read more about Day of Action in this announcement.

Thanks again to the volunteers, who showed us all how to Live United!
